I have Kaesar, my 6 month old, enclosed in a 40 gallon tank with the hot side 80-90, cool side 75-80, and different basking areas with temps between 95-115. I use the reptisun 10.0 tube. When I first got him months ago I left the hide out of the tank so he could get used to his surroundings, and after a few weeks I put it in his tank. He never uses it to hide, is this normal? I figured it just means that he is comfortable in his home but I thought I'd ask anyway. However he does always poop behind it... I guess he likes his privacy? lol

Its normal. Besides if he were in there all the time that wouldn't be good. You want him out more so he gets the benefits of the basking and uvb lights.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
