Beardie curled nails

Hi,
my cousin (Ben) has asked me to come on here and ask about his beardie. He keeps Maximus (his male beardie) on sand like i do. but the difference is i regularly clip Liz's nails where as he doesnt.

The problem is that Maximus's nails have started curling round. some of them arent to bad but others are really curled under.

Ive advised him to use tiles instead of sand but i think it may already be abit late.
Is there anything that Ben can do for his Maximus to help save his nails and feet?

He needs to keep clipping them. Eventually they will get back to the original shape but a picture is worth a thousand words.

Ok, im popping to his later anyway so i will get a few pictures.
When you say keep clipping them...do you mean every few days to force the quick back?
