We just got our beardie back from a friend who has been keeping him for the past few months & now he's completely limp & won't move at all. Yesterday when we brought him home he was being his usual feisty self, puffing up, running away, etc., but then he just started going completely limp. When we got home from work today he hadn't moved from where he was this morning, & hasn't moved at all since then. When I take him out he just completely limp. He still puffs up his beard but doesn't move at all. At first, I thought it may just be because he's freaked out & in shock from the change, but now I'm getting really worried. As I was sitting here typing this he just fell off his log, & didn't even move then. Somebody please help. I'm so worried I'm almost in tears.

He's about 7 months & 9 1/2 inches & 99 grams. He has a 20 gallon tank with UVA lights. I found out from our friend that his UVB light went out a couple of weeks ago but she said he'd been getting natural sunlight. He eats crickets with calcium & greens (this is from what our friend has told us), but he hasn't eaten since we got him back yesterday because he won't take any food. We tried giving him a warm bath but he wouldn't hold his head up so it was pretty shallow. I'm really worried he may be hurt or something wrong with him.

Ok his cage is too small. Minimum is 40 gallon. If his spine straight? Or does it have a curve to it? I hope he doesn't had mbd.

From what I can tell his spine is straight. When trying to feel he puffed up & flattened his body. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing. I have three other beardies & sometimes they go limp when they're really relaxed, but never like this or for very long.

I'm going to call them first thing in the morning, but I'm not sure if they can get him in. Hopefully they will because it seems like this may be an emergency. His feet are fine other than the fact that he won't use them.

His legs feel fine & it doesn't bother him when I move them. He moves his head & tries to to move his front legs & can a little, but not very much.

Hello,
I am so sorry to hear about your dragon. Please remove anything from his cage that he might get on and fall off. Make sure he has a nice soft place to lay. Please let us know how it goes with the vet.

Thank you. I'm gonna take everything out tonight, & rush him to the vet first thing in the morning. I thought about calling them, but decided with it being the weekend they might be more likely to see me if I just show up there when they open.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
