Beardie changing color

I took my berdie out in the sun for an hour today and he went from gray to a yellow color. I take him out in the sun all the time and this has never happened before. I live in south texas so it was 95 degrees out side. I checked the rock he was on it was 120 degrees. he didn't seem to mind cuz he stayed there with his head up high and his mouth was open. At about 1/2 into the bask he changed color from gray to a yellowish color is this normal?

How old is he? Is he a special morph?

My guy didn't start getting bright colors until just a couple of months ago, and then he would only be bright if he wasn't basking (you can see the difference in color if you want, as I have all of his photos, from baby till now, on my blog. The link is below my sig).

Your beardie's probably fine. I would just keep an eye on him in case.

Thanks you have a cute little guy mine is still only a month and a half old but he's really starting to get his own personality i think he's fine cuz he eats good and when he basks he has his head up high. still trying to get him to like me he's coming around im trying the t shirt trick now i hope it works

Well, mine definitely didn't have that much color at that age so you probably get to look forward to a very vivid beardie in the future! Yay!

Yeah sounds normal, both my dragons have always changed colors based on heat and sun. Like a big mood ring!

If sounds completely normal. As the above chap mentioned dragons are like mood rings.
They can go dark or light in the sunshine when soaking up the rays and can go very bright colours when angry or excited.

The yellow coming out is a common one. My first dragon Dex was mostly grey but after a cuddle of a bath her whole beard would be yellow. My boy at the moment goes from a muddy orange and black to a bright orange and lilac when he's happy.

mine dose it too i live in tx as well around the DFW area. and the first time i took him outside he went to a yellowish orange color but after his shead he is staying more yeallow then gray (his unhappy color when the dog is around)
