I know my Nikka can't be the only one. It's such a silly quirk. In order for her to get settled at night- I have to wrap her in a blankie (a soft one. i have tried to use kitchen towels in a pinch and she gets annoyed and runs out of them and stares out the tank waiting for the 'real thing')...as soon as I wrap her up she closes her eyes and goes right to sleep. Literally. The only time she doesn't is if I have used the 'wrong' type of material to wrap her in (we use flat cloth diapers or retired baby receiving blankets- that's all she seems to like).

Anyone else burrito their beardies?

Norris enjoys a burrito after his bath. He sometimes will sleep the rest of the night after that (though I make sure he warms up) or sometimes he wakes up again and it's just a nap...but either way he enjoys snuggling ...he doesn't mind a soft towel though.

EDIT: One of Norris' first baby burritos. To judge his size...that is a baby wash cloth.

My girl loves to be wrapped up, put on my neck and I have to rub her back and it puts her right to sleep. I leave her wrapped up with her head sticking out so she sees the lights when they come on in the morning.

When Norris wants out, he just climbs out and since the area his blankie is in is only 85F, I'm not worried about the cloth being any sort of fire risk.
I think it gives him a den-like feel.

sometimes Cupid will sleep wrapped in her burrito all night. other times she will crawl out after an hour or so and sleep somewhere else. Or she likes to sit on my chest wrapped in a burrito and just doze and watch tv w me

So, Cross hates the burrito... Is mine the only one that doesn't like it? He grapples his way out as fast as he can. He doesn't like anything over him either... Maybe mine is the strange one?

I've been burrito-ing my Aether since I got him! Mostly after baths, but sometimes I'll just bundle him up when we're watching videos together. I have a yellow facecloth that I always use with him, but I'm hoping to get him something a bit softer soon.

When his heads peaking out, I'll stroke the sides of his head and he can fall asleep like that. He doesn't usually try to climb out of the towel unless he's spooked by something.

(Not quite a burrito, more a mommy sandwich).

Post-bath burritos are common around our place. He will snuggle under blankets too, at night. I hope to get to a fabric store and get a nice piece of soft fabric to use solely as a Bindy Blanket, instead of my hand towel and such. Bahah.

I always take mojo out of his cage when im watching tv at night before bed. My bed is in the corner of the room, and he likes to run up and down the bed and try to "climb" the walls. Eventually he tires himself out and burrows into my comforter in such a way that he can still watch me until he falls alseep.

No, that isn't strange. Custard doesn't like anything over him either and detests when I try to dry him off after bathtime. He also always crawls out whenever I burrito him. He likes to sleep in the most uncomfortable positions imaginable: standing up against the glass, flopped on top of his basking stick, splayed flat on his newspaper, etc. I think he just falls asleep as soon as his lights go out. 8)

Yep Thug is the same way. He won't even let me dry him off.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
