Beardie Blew Up!

My other half scared me half to death when I made my regular call home at lunch time. He said and I quote, "Your lizard blew up!." I immediately had all sorts of horrible images of my little Merlin lying dead on the bottom of his tank. What he meant was that Merlin's skin split right open. This is our first shed and we didn't expect it to be quite like this. My husband said that he's a LOT bigger now but looks like a real mess. Sounds like Merlin's really popped out of his shell??? Does this sound like a normal shed? Thanks...

Ahahaha! My beardie hasn't shed his body yet. I'm waiting for it, he's shed the rest of his body. Congrats, by the way. You have officially blown up your lizard. :lol:

It is funny looking back but when he said that to me, I almost panicked. Maybe now that he has more room to expand, Merlin will eat more. :mrgreen:

When Pookie had his first body shed, the image scared me to death. I wasn't sure if he was going to end up with crack lines on his belly/back. If I had heard from someone else that Pookie "blew up", I would've had a heart attack.
