Beardie 'basking' on cool side occasionally ok?

So my cool side was too cold before, so I had to get a 40w household bulb onto that side to bring up the ambient temp to atleast 80-85. Directly under the light is about 95 or so(in a back corner of the viv) and my beardie seems to love going there to bask sometimes. My hot side basking spot hovers between 104 and 111.

My question is, is this ok, will it harm the beardie to sit here instead of the other basking spot sometimes?
Also
Is there any other way to heat the cool side without a light, can I use a che all day every day or something?

It's just seeking a cooler basking zone than your hottest hot spot at the moment. You could try providing a secondary basking site on your hot side that's a little lower down (and thus cooler), and letting your cold side just be a cold side. It is alright if the cool side is in the 70s, even as cool as the low 70s, during the day.

Just sounds like your beardie may want more options when basking :) If it's already mostly warmed up for the day, it's not going to seek out the same high temps that it did earlier in the day when it may be cooler, or right after eating. In the wild, lizards will often seek out higher temperatures early in the day, or right after eating, as those are times they want higher temps for their body to either get to a functioning temperature faster, or to digest food. When it comes to regular activity for the day, they don't need to be quite as warm, so they are more likely to seek out cooler basking zones, such as partially shaded areas.

For you in your cage, that would mean a lower basking area than your highest, hottest one in the cage currently. :)

I hope that helps!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
