So its almost bed time and I hear my bearded crunching on something super loud and I turn around (his tank is next to me) and he is chewing up a big black beetle. These show up every now and then when a super worm from his dish escapes and somehow transforms into a beetle before I do the monthly strip down of the tank. Is he okay eating that? It was so loud when he crunched it, I jumped out of my seat! He usually doesnt eat them and I get them out fast with a vaccum (LOL) I hate those beetles. Im also worried because its about to be lights - out time.
My bearded dragon also has potty drama, as he likes to hold in his bathroom and only goes in the bath tub. He eats every day but only poops every few days, I try not to give him mineral oil. He is 3 years old and has always been particular about the bathroom. Im planning on putting on the warmer basking light on tomorrow and giving him a bath, but I doubt the beetle will be out of his system tomorrow. His basking is also 100 - 105 but he doesnt really like the hot side, he gets alot of baths though trust me, haha. He has the skinny zoomed uvb and he is in a 5 foot glass take with slate tile. So he is good in the care department.
