Sounds like she is making some great improvements. Great that she's pooping twice a day, that sure is a big change. Hope she really chows down on the horns, those will be very good for her. Thanks for the update.

She loves them.. She would run to me when I got the hornworm container out and she would try to get them through the plastic lol. Hopefully she will eat one or two.

That is excellent news she is eating some now for you!
It sounds like she still has that fighting spirit if she fights the medications. Which medication is she on now?

She is eating a liquid food called Omivore Care twice a day.

The Medication she is on:
Metoclopramide - helping her digestive system move along
Calglucon Syrup - calcium
Lactulose - helps her poo
Fortaz - injectable antibiotic every three days

My hornworms are suppose to be here by the 8th. I have supers but she said to stay away from the harder shelled worms/insects for the time being. I think I might just try to make her staple Hornworms and Silkworms since they are better than supers.

Haha, she looks a lot better then a few days ago but she is still very weak. She doesn't do much but lay on her stuffed leopard all day and she doesn't have enough energy to keep her head up or her mouth closed.

Update on her beard bruise/stain. I did see it peeling a tiny bit almost like a scab. I don't think I saw any scales under there I hope they grow back.

I've been following this thread since the first page. I've been a member here for a few years and have seen dragons die from fireflies in a very short amount of time. Its absolutely amazing your girl is doing so well, not only do you have a awesome vet but it says much about you that you are willing to put so much time and money into your beloved pet. I wish her a speedy recovery

Ya Lola! I am so happy she's eating, such great news. She's weak but she's improved so much. I think home is good for her. I keep checking in to see how she is, thanks for all the updates. I really have been hoping she pull through and she sounds like she really has beaten all the odds. Good for you and her. <3

It's really great that she has made it so far, good for her and good for you ! Nice to hear that she is taking in some nutrition and her digestive system is still working. I just wondered if the hornworms you are waiting on are going to be put in a blender at first or were you going to give them in their live form ? If your'e giving her a whole worm, please do be careful, even if you get one in her mouth and she gives a chew or two, she may not be strong enough to chew thoroughly and swallow. Glad to hear the " crust" is coming off the beard...sounds like it was scabby patch of dried charcoal. Hopefully the scales are still intact underneath.

Here she is basking today! As you can see, she still doesn't keep her head up for very long and she is still gaping slightly. She has improved so much since the day we thought we would be putting her to sleep because of her not pooping! Her scab is still there, I'm hoping there are scales still attached under there. Hmm.. Maybe I should wait to feed her till she can actually keep her head up? Idk, I want her to actually have real food but I don't want her choking or something. Yuck! I can't put them in the blender, I already get grossed out when juice sprays everywhere from her eating them! lol

Thanks! She is a tough cookie! She is my life, and I would do anything to save her. She sleeps with me every night, she's more loyal then my dogs lol! :mrgreen:
