Beardie acting up for a week

My 1 1/2 year old beardie, Plo Koon has been acting up lately. For the last week he's been digging the sand under his home and just lays there lifeless all day. I take him out 3x daily for 15 min. His beard has been turning black everytime he comes out now. Even when I put him back in the tank he's still black. He starts to calm down when he's under his home. He's been eating fine. I really don't know what's wrong with him.
This has been going on for a week. Also, I would like to include that we have no other pets.

I would take a guess he is trying to brumate.
There is an article on this site that has some good information on brumating.
I would also loose the sand too but, that is my opinion.
