Beardie acting strange!

I agree with Kelly^^.
The correct UVB can make a HUGE difference. Whenever I get a brand new Reptisun, Drake perks up so much! Don't take advice from petstores. Even if the salesman/saleswoman sounds very convincing, the information they're telling you is almost completely wrong. Whenever I rarely run out of phoenix worms, and i'm waiting for the shipment, I stop by petsmart for some crickets. The beardies in there are all housed on colored calci-sand, and have 4-5 dragons in a teeny tiny cage! I strongly urge you to listen to the advice we are giving you :mrgreen:

However, there are no vets in my area that will see a bearded dragon I have called 4 different places. One place told me to call the zoo and talk to a specialist there.

Okay, I plan on ordering the 10.0 tube UVB bulbs for sure. My tanks don't have the kind of lids that hold tube lights though? Do I need to get different lids also? I also stopped feeding them romaine lettuce and I'm now giving them Collard Greens. I bought some superworms just to see if Sugar would eat some, but she just licked one and then took no more interest in eating them. :-/

You can install the UVB tube under the screen for better results. Screen tops can filter out up to 50% of vital rays! You can buy an under-the-counter fixture at walmart, and some 3mm command hooks. There is a thread under "enclosures" by a girl named Jess which will help you with lighting. Hope this helps

If your dragon is under 16 inches and under a year old, pplease dont feed it the superworms. Phoenix worms, small crickets. Glad to hear you are getting him the collard greens

Hopefully another person can tell you but yes you want the TUBE lights not the coil,etc
