ok guys My beardie is 6 mos old, 17 inches long nose to tip of tail and 378 grams. He has had a ferocious appetite for 6 mos.. the last couple days he seem's to only want to eat his greens, and even that is sperratic. I put a blanket in his viv last night and he went under it early before lights out and just laid there until I got home from work this morning. He slepped through the night. I put him under his basking light this morning and he ate some greens and went back under the light by his self. So do you think he might be trying to go through brumation. I read that 6 mos is to young for brumation, but maybe his size is kind of forcing him to go through it. It has been really gloomy here the last couple days with the weather.
he normally feeds on lobsters and dubias, mustard greens yellow squash red chard, super worms, reptiworms. like I said he is ferrocious usually when it comes to eating.
my temp is about 98-102in the basking area and about 72 -76 on the cool side. I have a ceramic heat emitter but it doesn't get any cooler than 72 in my house even at night. During the day it shoots up to like 76. Now this is winter time temps. any ideas maybe he is just sexually maturing? GEEZ I am in the panic zone lol
