My bearded dragons tail is starting to fall off. I don't know what to do. When I first got her the breeder told me her tip of tail was eaten off by another bearded dragon but I don't think what has anything to do with it. 2 years and a few months.

You can put some raw honey on it [ be sure there are no loose insects in the tank ] and also soak it in a betadine solution [ diluted with water so it looks like iced tea ] Just put some in a jar and hold him with only the tip of his tail is in the jar, that way you don't need to waste a lot.

I don't know what betadine is.

That is concerning....it may be tail rot under there. Is she housed alone ? Betadine [ povidone iodine ] is an antiseptic for cleaning wounds, you can get it at drug stores. But you need to dilute it as I mentioned in my first post.

You might want to have a qualified reptile vet have a look at it though.

Oh dear, that's scary. As I said in my pm, she needs to see a vet ASAP. If it's not tail rot, it could be another type of infection that could spread further. Good luck & let us know how you make out.

So I took Spike to the vet. They said they think it is not tailrot or infected. They gave me cream and pain medicine and is taking a fecies test. They said she is very healthy and active. She said that she is alittle over weight and to feed her the roaches every other day. She also said my tank is good. I'm happy she ok. Thanks for your help guys

That's good that she was taken to the vet and that it's not infected. Wonder how it happened, do you think there is something sharp in her tank? If you want to pm me some pics of her setup again (has been a while), I will take a look just to make sure for you.

Did they put her on Metacam for pain? Wonder what the cream is they gave you to put on it?

Great that the vet said she was healthy. Did you or your mom let the vet know about the eggs she recently laid?

Thanks for the update. :)

She's a sweet looking dragon and looks healthy + alert. Nice size to her, not a fatty. :) Do keep an eye on the tail though, they don't just get a wound like that out of the blue and there's still a chance that it is or will become tail rot. Hopefully that won't be the case and she'll heal up .

I got a call from the vet. They said she has pin worms. I'll write again when I get more details.

Pinworms are quite easy to clear up. I sent you a pm with some details. ;)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
