Has anyone noticed their beardie acting differently / more skittish around men with beards?

Could just be that my wife has a more soothing voice but Rufus actually seems to focus
on my beard sometimes and become more hyper / even aggressive.

My google and site searches here did not offer any answers. Thanks!

That is possible that your wife may have a soothing voice he likes.
He may not like the beard, this is also a possibility that he thinks
you're a rival male...because you have a beard and he has one too xD
but I do hope he lightens up a bit around you.

Also my boyfriend doesn't like to grow a beard but my father has one
and my Vash goes crazy and my dad is just like "whatever, old boy" and
pets him xD

Once he's climbing up my arm, Rufus is fine - it's just that initial contact sometimes.

Oh my goodness! You may have something there! My husband has a beard and my dragon does NOT like 'daddy' at all! I never thought about it before. He'll just glare at my husband as soon as he enters the room and tonight I asked him to help me take some pics of my scaley baby and my dragon puffed and hissed for the first time! :shock: ( Is it wrong of me to get an ego boost from that? :lol Hmmm... interesting...Also, that's a great pic! I couldn't stop laughing!

that is too funny.

my male reacts to clothing. there was a dark blue shirt with an orange stripe that my husband wore and my beardie HATED it. i had to wear black to work and if i approached him the wrong way he would puff out.

as for the beard, he likes to put his beard on my husbands.

My little girl LOVES to try and cuddle in my fiance's beard. We have no idea why. She also likes to crawl and try to hide in his dreads lol
