Bearded Dragon's Tail is darker than his body

I have a 6 month old, male bearded dragon and recently his tail has began to turn a darker grey than the rest of his body. He has just started to shed but I'm worried it could be the begining of tail rott! any thoughts?

Your Beardie is probably just shedding. Whenever my little ones are in preshed in the tail area, their colors turn a greyish-pale color. I don't know much about tail rot personally, but I do know the signs. Usually with tail rot, the tail will turn black as if it's "dying". If it's greyish, it's most likely just shedding.

Could you upload a picture? It would be easier for us to get a visual of what you're speaking of.

Its just a darker grey, you can still see the patterns on his tail perfectly. Your probably right, since he has started shedding in other areas, I just thought it would be worth checking. thanks for your response, and I will try to get some pictures of him up this weekend.

Good. Don't worry about being paranoid. I'm always paranoid over everything my little guys do. If they're even the slightest bit out of the ordinary, I freak out and imagine the worst happening. What can I say, I'm a slave to my Beardies :wink:

I'd love to see the pictures, just to be sure everythings alright!
