Bearded Dragons go through puberty????

Ok so my beardie is about 7 months old, about 2 weeks ago he was letting me pick him up all the time but whenever i try to pick him up now be tries to run away (not scared but tries to avoid me picking him up). I have seen a few times saying 7 months is about the time they hit puberty but im not sure if thats the reason, he is also shedding is tail and his arms/legs right now as well. Any help is appreciated

Could be hormones or the shed or a combination. Both of those things can have them acting oddly for a while. If he doesn't seem to want to be picked up, I'd just let him be for a while. His behavior should return to normal after not too long.

Ok thank you very much for the reply, he doesnt seem to mind me stroking the top of his head and back so i will just keep at that
