bearded dragon wont hunt?

my juvinile bearded dragon wont hunt. i have all the right lights and everything. i know i have the right lights amd setup because he eats like no tommorow if i hand feed him crickets he just wont get off his lazy butt if the walk away from him. any ideas?

My female doesnt like to hunt either. I have to literally put the crickets in front of her.

Beardies are lazy! My boy is the same way. :lol: In the wild beardies learn to not "waste energy" like they do when their young on their prey, food is usually plentiful and they know it will eventually come to them. I hand feed my boy or just set them in front of him. Sometimes he will chase them but only when he feels like it. You can also use a small bowl for your crickets (one thats taller than the crickets so they cant climb out.) I used to do this when Flats ate crickets, the crickets are stupid and usually dont jump out.
