Bearded Dragon Without Proper UV Light!

I have a less-then-a-year-old bearded dragon named Henry. He has one of those UV lights that is small( the size of his basking light) and I know this is NOT what you should have for a bearded dragon. The reason I haven't gotten a proper UV light yet is because my mom doesn't think we need to

. Henry's cage is beside a window, and my mom's boyfriend says that he doesn't need it because he has the UV from the sun. I researched it and UV from the sun CAN pass through windows, but I know they still need more. It's going to be hard to convince her, so I want people to reply so I can show her how important it is and how much other people care. Thanks for reading and please reply!

Well if its one in a screw in fixture that means poor Henry will have stunted growth, no appetite, MBD, calcium deficiency, and death from at least one of those.

Anything solid doesnt allow UVB (which is needed) to come through, which even with a "uvb" light will still result in one of the things mentioned above if it is not a correct tube light as the others do not produce enough uvb.

The only suitable uvb is a arcaidia or reptisun T5 HO 10.0 22" OR 34" With a reflective fixture to fit it. You can get this off amazon.
