UPDATE:

Alright I just went to the pet store and I got him 50 dubia roaches, 100 crickets, and 50 wax worms for a good all-around diet that should help him. Planning on getting the UVB bulb that I need with the fixture this weekend along with a 55 gallon tank that I found for $30. I fed him some wax worms and dubia roaches and, as his first time trying them, I'm surprised at how much he loves them! I'm glad everyone gave me some good tips and I encourage more as nothing could hurt! Thanks so much to everyone for the tips and help! I will also be getting a scale this weekend to weigh him and post updates on his weight and how he is doing. Right now he is content with the new food he tried and he is basking in the light :D ! Thanks again and please keep good info coming!

Sounds good -- I would recommend pulling him off the crickets all together- crickets tend to give parasites and dubias dont! Good luck and keep us posted on him

Alright, I'll slowly get him off of those then. I've never heard that before as I thought crickets were a staple food for bearded dragons. Is this true? How do they give bearded dragons parasites? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that this is the first time I have heard that. Then again I am new to caring for a bearded dragon  !

I was informed by my reptile vet after bringing him in for his first check up after I got him- so I immediately switched him over to dubias little did I know he liked the dubias alot better than the crickets--- when I took Hiccup in last Sept for his check up again they did a fecal on him -- it turned out he had parasites but it was a real low count--- not enough to make him sick cuz he was not having the symptoms parasites give -- they already have parasites in their intestines but it is normal - it is not normal for them to have a real high count and can cause issues--

Oh, alright then. I will make roaches his staple diet from now on then. He seems to gobble them up quicker than the crickets so that's fine with both of us  ! Thanks again!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
