bearded dragon stressed??

My daughter came up for a visit around june 15th and brought her classroom dragon named dundee with her. We have decided to keep dundee up here with us for the summer. Things where going great until 2 days ago. He was shedding big time and now Dundee is trying to climb the walls of his tank. He will not eat the crickets. The local pet store said it could be a number of things. Then another worker there said that dundee just wants to be held. We hold him and he is still trying to climb out. He is also jumpy/scared. He is 5 years old and not very big. I just don't know what to think or do at this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My Princess Littlefoot went thru the same deal. She quit eating crickets completely for about a month! She also wasn't going "pottie" as often as before. I took her to see the ladies at PetSmart and they told me that she may have been impacted due to the mealworms. I took her home, soaked her in the bathtub for about an hour, and once she finally went to the bathroom, she was back to normal. Has your little guy been pooping regularly? That could be what's wrong with him.

Dundee has used the bathroom, we cleaned his aquirium and gave him a bath today. I did give him freeze dried meal worms a couple days before this started. I am guessing that might be it. Thank you sooo much for the reply

My Princess will not eat freeze dried anything!! lol If they're not wiggling or jumping, she doesn't want any part of them! I guess she likes to chase her food.. Who knows what's going thru her mind! Good luck! I hope he feels better soon!!

Have you tried any other insects. Repti worms are great you don't have to dust them. I buy mine from reptiworm.com. Is he eating his greens I know at his age he does not need to have bugs everyday.

I would like to thank you for replying to my post. Dundee will be going back to niles 2 hours from here. He will be missed up here. I will continue to come to this site . I hope to get a bearded dragon in a few months!!!
