Wow... I don't even know what that could be- the only thought I have is that while he's used to the other bulb, it's not good for him. So even though he may have such a dislike for the new one, I think it only serves to show how bad the other bulb(s) actually are for him. I'd say leave it in there personally, and he will adapt.
Others should be along fairly soon to add in :)

this was the most stressed i ever seen him so theres no way im going to put that bulb back today his bearded is still a little black and he still has stress marks , would it be okay if i use the compact bulbs? because id rather use the best compact bulb then a flouresent bulb and have him like that all the time

I wouldn't recommend anything but the tube repti-sun 10.
Maybe, if he is really stressing that much, alternate for a bit, a few hours at a time w/ each, slowly phasing in the tube and phasing out the CF (compact flourescent). I understand totally that it may not be a comfortable thing right now for him- I would equate it to someone who has been deprived of exercise for a long time- it's really uncomfortable at first, but better for him, and while still very very helpful to change, maybe just needs to be worked up to instead of trying to run a marathon all in one day. Maybe try that and see if it helps, they're incredible creatures and I'm sure he'll adapt in no time :)

Give him a few days to get used to the new bulb. The Reptisun is the most highly recommended bulb on this website. It might be that the bulb produces a different type/color of light, so he's seeing his tank in literally a new light (similar to the differences between using a yellow and white bulb). It's probably just startling to him right now. I'd give it a couple more days, and if he hasn't changed by then, turn the bulb off to see if his behavior improves. You can take him outside for 30 minutes to get the UVB he needs during that time.

i turned the light back on and hes not to stressed now , he is alot more active but the light is close to his basking spot , i can't really change it because its a custom enclousure and it has shelfs and his basking spot is about 6-8 inches away from the top and his uvb is about 2 inches away from his basking spot ( bulbs to big )

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
