I have had my bearded dragon for four months now but recently she has started becoming really tired and just sleeping all day, as well as not eating and having really disgusting watery poos. She is about 5 months old and kept in a deluxe 4ft vivarium with closley monitored heat and UV. Any idea what could be wrong with her before I take her to the vets? Just so I have an idea

If her poop is really gross, it's possible that she has a high parasite load. Could you review your temps, thermometer type, and UVB bulb for us? It will help us know what may be causing the issues.

I have what I think is a 150W ceramic bulb with a thermostat which is at 34 degrees c during the day and 29 degrees c at night. Im using a 10.0 uv tube reccomended from my exotic pet store, which is on 12 hours and off 12 hours. Her poo is very disgusting, her white bit is usually orange and her poo is like diarrea. If it is parasites how could i do the medication without a vet?

Well, I always recommend a vet visit for parasites, but you can send a fecal sample to the folks at beardeddragon.co. They have instructions at the bottom of the main page. They can also sell you meds. Do you have any bright white basking light, or just the ceramic? What brand is your UVB tube? Also, it is WAY too cold in there. That's why he can't digest and seems lethargic. The basking spot should be, minimum, 38C, and preferably 40-41C. What kind of thermometer are you using?

I only have the one ceramic bulb, and alright, ill keep her temperatures higher from now on, im using an exo terra digital dual probe thermometer. And i think my uv is a repti sun, not sure on that though. & oh, well if i was to buy the medication from them, what would i need to buy? Im almost sure she has coccidia as an ex vet that works at my local pet store examined her today and said she is almost certain she has coccidia. Just money is a littlw tight lately so buying my own medication is a priority

I would send in the test to the website to be sure. It's just $5, and another $10 or so for the meds. The medication for Coccidia can be harsh on the system, so you don't want to do that unless you get a positive test. You do need to add a bright white light. They need a very bright environment, and the bright white light protects their eyes from the UVB light.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
