Bearded dragon scab

My bearded dragon had some scabs on his lips I'm pretty darn sure he doesn't have mouth rot I think he might be rubbing or cut himself when he ate a cricket or something. I give him all the correct lighting and stuff so any ideas for what to do? He is only like a week old and seems in good condition, anything I can do?

A good natural antimicrobial is raw, unpasteurized honey....you may need to go to a health food store or beekeeper for it. It can clear up wounds very quickly. Just a tiny drop would be fine but if you DO use it be sure there are no loose crickets in the tank that would be attracted to it.

He is a picture it was worse earlier but then I gave him a bath and a lot of it came off. Also if you don't mind me asking he has been doing some weird breathing things nothing looks like harming. Like he will breath real fast and he will like hicup but then he's fine and he never seems like it affects him he's always really nice and is not lazy.

He's a cutie. I don't see anything there, it may have been some dried food, it's pretty common for food or poo to look like a scab.

As for is breathing, does he do it throughout the day ? If so he may be developing a respiratory infection. Be sure that his temps. in the basking area are around 105 and the cool side is around 80.

Ok welll thank you no he doesn't do it often like he will do it once every couple days and it is usually after I hold him or give him a bath/at night time. My old man just says to not think about it and says that it's fine and it might be normal when their cold.
