Bearded dragon prefers crickets over dubia roaches. Why?

Only recently has this situation occurred. I've been conducting tests and my dragon wont even bat an eye at a dubia roach anymore. When I put a cricket, he locks on like a homing missile and eats it as if it were his last meal. He used to like roaches like any other dragon, but now he doesn't. I'm concerned and confused, please help!

He might just prefer the taste of the crickets. And crickets move around a lot more, so that might be exciting for him.

Yes some wont dubias--- they like crickets better--- mine didnt like the crickets and preferred the dubias-- each has their own taste

Just out of curiosity, what do you feed the feeders? Same fir the dubias as for the crickets? I'm thinking if not that could be the difference.
