I got a bearded dragon, his age is unknown. We've had him for 3 weeks and he just isn't growing. He's about 9 1/2 inches from the head to the tail. I've noticed a strange pattern he's developed. He's refusing to eat after certain periods. You can feed him roughly 50 crickets and he'll eat all those, then the next day he won't eat anything. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is he dying? I really would hate to see him die.:(

Here's a picture of the bearded dragon if anyone wanted to see him.

He's housed in a 40 breeder with another bearded dragon currently. My mom decided to get another one and add it to the tank with him. The tank currently has no background or anything to block some of the cage off. He has a food dish for the salad/other vegies and a water dish. The cage also has a hide away log on the cool side and a bunch of different sticks on the basking spot. Their substrate is currently calcium sand, something I was recommended by the breeder I got the beardies from. The basking spot is currently 95 degrees and the cool side is about 88 degrees or 87 some days. At night the temperature drops to 70 degrees and the humidity goes up to 60. I give them vegies in the morning and in the afternoon I give them the crickets with calcium and the vitamins i was told to give them. They only get crickets, carrots, kale, and turnips.

Hi. I don't know what kind of breeder recommends calcium sand, but that stuff will turn into concrete in their guts and cause them to be impacted. Get rid of it ASAP. Also beardies should never be housed together. They are territorial and do not like to be housed with each other. Infact they only get together in the wild to mate. How are you taking the temps? 95 is too low you want it around 105. What kinds of lights are you using? Brands?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
