Bearded Dragon licked q-tip covered in cleaning product.

Hello,
when I brought my beardie out to explore, my mom did not know that she left a q-tip covered in a cleaning product she uses to wipe the floors of our house. I did not know about this as well. As my beardie was running around he licked the q-tip (not like he sucked on it, or bit it. He just licked it). There wasn't really any reaction after that. He went on with his business.
I made him drink water and I am keeping a close eye on him. He hasn't had any reaction, and he is very active like he always is.
Could my beardie be sick from this? Or will he be ok?

Also- he has been smelling weird these past couple of days. I gave him a bath, cleaned his tank, and made sure to clean up his poop, but he still smells weird. Is he alright? Is it a sickness, or just normal for them to smell weird?

If it was just a tiny bit (exploratory licks like they commonly do) then it probably won't be harmful. Do keep a close eye on him for the next day or so. If you have some activated charcoal (I recommend having this on hand) then it might be a good idea to administer some. If he isn't showing a reaction after an hour or two then it likely isn't a problem.

I love having one of these on hand in case of accidental ingestion of a toxin or harmful bug https://bug-de-lite.com/Item/Emergency Charcoal Kit

:dontknow: Sorry, but you're not leaving us anything to go on.
How long ago did this happen?
What was the product?
What does the label say it contains or about toxicity?
What does the label say about accidental ingestion?

Also- he has been smelling weird these past couple of days.
:dontknow: Is this as a consequence of his tasting the above cleaning product, or an unrelated matter?

He seems ok. He hasn't had any reaction.
The smell is unrelated, it may be because he always gets himself in dirty places.
I don't really now the cleaning product that my mom used.
I am still concerned about the smell though. Is it possible that he is sick? He has been eating, basking and drinking water, although his poop has been kind of liquid recently.

Does it smell sick--or just regusting? Does it smell like his poop? How close/far away can it be detected by others (that's not criticism; we're all subjective about our pets)? Everyone's sensitivity to certain odors is different.

When you say, "his poop has been kind of liquid recently," do you mean like diarrhea, or just a lot of liquid/water accompanying an otherwise normal stool? The latter is common and nothing to be concerned about. My guy can soak half a paper towel when he goes, and he's never taken a drink of water in his life. It comes from the water content of the bugs & vegetable matter he eats.

Yes, his stool is like that. It's good to hear that it is normal, it got me worried for his health.

His smell turned out to be because he needed a long bath. I always do short baths as he doesn't like long baths, but I decided to give him a long bath and the smell disappeared. Turns out he always steps on his own poop, even when I'm going to clean it. I think the smell originated from him stepping on his own poop, so I will look out for that in the future. He hasn't smelled that bad since that long bath and hasn't had any problems going to the bathroom.

:laughhard: That's funny, but I'm glad everything has "worked out"!

Some dragons do that (run through poop); others seem to be fastidiously clean (and run to the farthest point in the enclosure)--just like people, I guess.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
