my bearded dragon is 2years old and 14 inches long. Just recently he has been having diarrhea, and the vet says its not parasites after they did a fecal. also he hasnt been outside or had a change in feeders or been near another beardie recently so that would make sense. I recently started giving him green beans as a staple, because i was told they are a good staple and i had a large amount lying around my house. before that i gave romain lettuce and that didnt give him diarrhea, could it have been the green beans? could they have too much water in them or something? i also havent changed his lighting, and he has a reptisun 10.0 tube.
(also if anybody knows, he has also been putting on a little weight, but i think thats just from the superworms, and yes he is not impacted from them, and there are no pieces in his poop from the shells)

Hi Tipsy....any time you change their diet, it can result in diarrhea. It's most likely the green beans. Be sure to offer greens like turnip, mustard , collard + dandelion, they're packed with nutrition.

My dragon consistently has mushy poop. I've taken him to the vet 3 times and have gotten a second opinion from a different vet the last trip. He has been through 2 rounds of treatment of metrinidazole. Each time a fecal exam was done. The last visit his fecal exam was negative for any parasites, etc. So, now I am thinking it has to be something in his salad that is causing the mushy poops. So, for the last week, he has gotten only collard greens and crickets. Today I let him soak in the tub and as usual he made his poop. However, this time it was well formed and looked normal. So, something in his salad is giving him the mushy poops.

If the only thing you changed was the addition of green beans, I would say that would be the cause.

My dragon is sensitive to his UV light. I can always tell it's time to change, because his poops become more runny.
I did ask the vet about his runny poops last time he was there, and they said that as long as he is well hydrated, it's not really a big deal.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
