bearded dragon has fluid in her body? *updated peritonitis**

Hi, I recently posted in themail health forum that my bearded dragon was gravid but wasent laying her eggs but was very bloated, she's been to the vets who says she's reabsorbed her eggs, he can no longer feel them even though they was prominent 4 weeks ago, she's been very bloated almost like a balloon, she woke up this morning and her tummy was back to normal but it slowly filled back up slightly As the day went on, the vet has taken bloods which will be back early next week, he said he suspects it could be low plasma proteins but I can't find anything about this, can anyone Help? Or know what could possibly be the cause?

Hello,

If she reabsorbed the yolks then a lot of times that does cause lethargic behavior & loss of appetite due to her body metabolizing all of the yolks & cholesterol. Did he think she could have an infection possibly?
Is her beard black right now?
I would watch her very closely in case she has peritonitis or some other type of infection.
Is she eating anything right now?

Hi sorry I didn't get anotification to say anyone had replied. Vet took a sample of the fluid and he says she has peritonitis, she's currently having critical care formula and he's told me to give her reptiboost also. She's been on baytril for a week now, she seems to have perked up and a bit more lively, she's eating small amounts of live food most days. Is there anything else I can do for her?
