Bearded Dragon Exercise?

So I'm getting my first beardie later this summer (after any traveling is over) and I was starting to wonder how I can help my beardie get plenty of exercise. Besides the normal climbing to the basking spot and running around in the cage and such.

I know they can swim, but is letting them swim in an area where they can both swim and get to a spot where they can stand and rest a good way for them to get exercise?

What do you guys all do to make sure your beardies don't become plump and lazy? (unless that's what you're looking for in your dragon  )

1. Some people will fill the bath tub up and give them a couple of resting spots of the beardie can swim and rest when need be.

2. I beardie proofed my room and allow them to run around until they sack out in a corner.

3. Some will chase laser pointers...not mine

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
