My beardie is about a year and a half old. Shes about a foot long. About 2 weeks ago i had to leave to my aunts house, so i went to petco and bought 50 giantmeal worms (thats what the tub thing said but they werent as big as super worms which i used to feed her.) and i put them all in her dish. I left for like an hour but then i returned because i forgot something. Went i got to my house i checked on her real quick and saw that there were like 5 more worms of all i put. I checked around the substrate to check how many got out. But i only found like 3 which means she ate the rest. Now it's past a while and she doesnt really bask any more. I havent seen her poop ever since she ate all those worms, she went to go drink water but she doesnt poop. She eat some veggies and some dry beardie food and still hasnt pooped. and all she does is lay in the cool side of her tank...and lays there. Shes starting to turn kinda bulgy or plump and i was thinking she might be impacted. Another thing is that whenever i take her outside so she can exercise all she does is turn dark and lay there....and when i put her on the rug in my room all she does is walk around a little til she finds a dark place and the lays there and sleeps.......

Stick her in a warm bath and gently massage her stomach pushing towards the vent, you may want to go to your vet and get a laxative. Most minor impaction can be taken care of in a warm bath with a massage. Some people use olive oil but I have never used it myself.

Hi, sorry to hear that your beardie is having digestion problems as well as being inactive. She is quite small for over a yr old but you probably already realize that.

Eating that many worms at one time is not good and due to the chitin shell on the mealworms, she could very well be impacted. Have you been bathing her and massaging on her right side from her armpit to vent area? If not, that would be my next step. I also wouldn't feed her anymore mealworms until she is able to clean herself out more easily and frequently.

Since temps, lights, etc affect both digestion and inactivity, would you be able to answer some questions for us? It will help us rule things out to see if something may need changing in order to help her out.

What size enclosure do you have your dragon in?
What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank?
Do you use UVB lights?
If so, Is it a coil, compact, fluorescent tube, or Mercury Vapor bulb?
What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)?
How old is your UVB bulb?
How close can your dragon get to the UVB?
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage? Is it a white or colored bulb?
What are the basking temps?
What is the cool side temp?
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun?
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?
Do you bath your dragon? How often?
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath?
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done?
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon?

Yes i have realized that my beardie is alittle short for her age. She has a uvb bulb and a powersun uv lamp by zoo med that is 100watts. She has a cool and hot spot in her tank. Whenever i put water in a dish in her tank she doesnt drink from it, and when she tries she cant bend her head low enough to drink so i take her to the sink and let the water flow lightly so she can drink. She has a 100 gallon tank that is about 3-4 feet only and about 1.5 feet wide all to her-self. I feed her celantro, parsley, or collar greens for greens. For fruit i feed her apples or carrots(they are diced). She also has some dry beardie food. I only have 1 thermometer at the center of the tank. The thermometer from the basking spot fell off the glass and it wont stick again so i have yet to get a new one. I mist her as often as i can which is about 1 everday or every 2 days. I bathe her about 1 a week.

I almost forgot. Her bulb is not colored and she has never been to the vet before mostly because it's not in my budget since i have to pay everything i do on my own and i receive inconstant allowance so i usually dont have money to take her. Her substrate is crushed english walnut. I know that its better to use carpet or tiles but i feel this works really well also.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
