Here is what I did tonight to consolidate my new to me bearded dragon, Draco and my other new hobby of raising crickets into one unit of space.

Still need to do some cleanup around it, but it was getting late and I was tired.

Do you think the chirp from the crickets will drive my lizard nuts?

That is a nice and organized set up!!! I don't think your Beardie will mind the chirping. Lizards are pretty aloof about background noises, at least mine is. How do you raise crickets?! I think the crickets in the pet store are sterile, right?! I want to raise crickets too because I like crickets but don't know where to start. Please give me some suggestions on where to start if you can. Thank you!!!

I followed this guide:

http://www.wikihow.com/Raise-Your-Own-Crickets

and watched a few youtube videos on raising crickets. All seem to do it the same as the first link with minor variations.

As for the pet store crickets being sterile, I bought 50 at Petsmart and they are already laying eggs in the dirt pans that I provided.

Seems like it is pretty easy to do and from what I am reading, I should have ~2000 within the next 60 days if all goes well.

Good luck with the cricket raising. Once I've mastered the crickets and get bored with them, I may try raising roaches, but I have to get over the heebee geebees first!

Thanks for the link!!! I'm gonna check it out. I tried raising crickets when I first got my Beardie but they all ended up dying before my Beardie could consume them. Those crickets probably weren't fertile or I must've done something wrong.

I wouldn't mind having a couple of crickets escape but I would hate to have a roach escape in my house!!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
