So about a week ago I purchased a baby bearded dragon probably only 2 or 3 months old. When I got him I also bought a red basking light for him but I didn't get a UVB light because I knew I could get it cheaper online. I brought him home and set everything up then ordered the bulb. Within the two weeks that I've had him My Beardie has been super friendly and chilled out he always seemed to enjoy being handled by not only me but the rest of my family. He did like to sometimes "explore" whenever I took him out of his tank but he never showed hostility towards me or any sort of fear. Well, this afternoon my bulb FINALLY arrived and I was super excited to give my beard UVB! I hooked everything up and he immediately started to eat and drink water which I thought was good. But as soon as I stuck my hand in the tank to pet him he started to run away in fear and hide as if I was trying to hurt him! He was opening his mouth at me and running in circles. Im very confused as to why his personality has all of a sudden changed. Did I do something wrong?? Im very confused PLEASE HELP!
