Hi I recently had my bearded dragon at the vets because he had a very small cyst that needed removing and with my vets being 200 miles away I left him in for 4 days so I took the oppertunity to have a full health check in the process because many years ago he suffered from fatty liver disease due to many antibiotcs for an RI way back in 2012 he was im great shape when Ieft him
Anyway he went in a perfectly happy bright yellow and very good at eating dragon but came home yesterday and ive now noticed he has a very raspy cough that he never had a week ago im really annoyed. I have baytril for the cyst incase of infection to the scar but years ago it failed tp clear the RI and I had to use Amikacin injections
my vet is 200 miles away and another trip doesn't even bare thinking about took 2 days unpaid off work to go there and back and also paid £200 for cyst removal amd full health check I left the vets in great order with all his results only for this to happen, he has either been near another animal with infection in the vets or he has aspirated some fluids when vet gave him critial care after his small op
You take your pet to vets to get better not worse
I have started nebulising with f10 and he is on baytril for op
All his temps have been at higher end of scale ever since RI when he was young he prefers it that way and night temps are at the moment same as day temps minus the basking spot obviously
