Bearded dragon ate paper towels

Okay so last week Patrick accidentally ate some paper towel, we took the rest of of his tank and thought he would be fine.

Fast forward to tonight and we come home to him having a prolapse (not the first one unfortunately) and got it moist and back inside. We thought he was fine since it was back in, but now a quarter of the paper towels are hanging out of his bottom. Unsure of where to go from here.

His primary vet is closed and there are no 24 hour exotics vet near me at the moment and I've already left a voicemail for his primary

Can you post pics of his behind ? Lubricate it with some honey using a Qtip and see if you can very gently ease it out. Emphasis on GENTLY and slowly. If you don't have honey use vaseline or Ky jelly. If he prolapses again put him in lukewarm sugar water + try to get it back in. Actually you can soak him while you gently pull the paper, it will wet all the paper and make it easier to pass through.
