I took out the mesh because I had heard that the mesh can get rid of 50% of the UVB which isn't good so I took out the mesh. Once I get the 10.0 today it will be a better distance for him.

Ok so the distance has been too far for that 5.0 bulb--- when the 10.0 comes set it for distance of 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor w/ out your screen-- he's not been getting little to no uvb-- from the UVB

oh, ok. I will for sure do that, the big piece of wood he has in his tank gets close to the top so I will put the UVB directly above that 12-15 inches away.

So I just put in the T5 HO 10.0 UVB light so we will see how this goes!
