Beard puffs out every day

My beardie Marty (male) is a year old and is a complete sweetheart- we have never had a behaviour problem. For about 4 months now, every morning and night (or at least once a day) he has been completely puffing out his beard, stomach and opening his mouth fully. What's weird is that his beard is all fully white and he has no stress marks. His tank is a 40 gallon (he has quite a bit of his tail missing so he's not that big for a male who is about a year And 2 months old). His basking side is 99 degrees and his cool side is about 77-80 degrees. At night his tank is about 80 degrees. He has both UVA, UVB, and his vitamins , just in case anyone was wondering. He gets baths usually every second night, which he loves.
Is this just natural? Thanks!

In the mornings, they do stretch out their beards and actually open their mouths like they are yawning. Have seen it many times over the yrs. Does that appear to be what he is doing?

We'll when he puffs out, his beard stretches all the way out and his tummy puffs out as if he was in distress, he tilts his head all the way up and he just does it for about a few seconds. Then he is totally fine again. He's never bobbed his head and his beard always remains white. :)

Sounds like he is showing off. You could post a short video of him doing it so we could take a look if you want.

Basking area sounds maybe a few degrees cool. The bearding once a day (for a short period) sounds fairly normal. Would be glad to take a look at a video though.

I will measure the temperature with a probe again (as he likes to eat it so I have to take it in and out frequently). Sometimes when I measure, his basking spot is 99.1, while other days it is 105 degrees and some days it is in the middle. Along with his main lighting he has a small 60 watt ceramic heater on his cool side (80 degrees).

I'd take him out for a while as you take the measurements. Give it about 45 minutes or so in each area to get an accurate reading. It will vary a bit based on the ambient temp I suppose. Goal is to get it about 100-110 or so allowing for some fluctuation. Do you keep the ceramic on during the day or do you use it as a night heater?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
