beard IS inflated..help

I looked at pics of her previous eyes, they look fine. i must have just been thinking weirdly. as her beard though, she has not eaten up to now again. she licks her lips and swallows as if she wants to eat, but can't. i called today and scheduled an appointment.

Is she breathing fine ? Sometimes a distended beard is a sign of a respiratory infection.

her breathing seems fine to me. the rate of her breathing looks to be alright as before...like i said, she seems completely fine except for that. sadly theres only one vet in my region and its closed today. ill check if she wants to eat today, or maybe i should go get a worm to see if she'll acctually eat those.

Odly enough, its her belly that was infected midly. possibly cause by worms. He gave me medicine and she should be fine. her beard is 100% fine too :S wierd!!

she's taking her meds like a good little fatty, apparently they're supposed to hate it!

still wont eat though, but im hoping by tomorrow she might want to

3d week without eating, still looking the same. her beard is the biggest ive ever seen on a beardie. She took her meds, but still wont eat. All she does is want to sleep, she still weighs the same, and won't mind eating worms (but i dont want to give her just that)

Vet says she's perfectly fine, but something's up and it seems no one can figure it out. they told us to call them to keep them updated but my vet's gone for a week on vacation now...

Has anyone heard or seen any problems like this before?

I would look for a different vet. If her beard is that swollen the vet shouldn't have said she is fine. I would want the swollen part to be checked for fluid or air build up, I've seen that happen with other dragons. One had a really big beard and it was just air, the vet removed the air with a syringe and the dragon was fine.

Im going tomorrow. my vet is on vacation and hes the only vet in my region for reptiles..but theres this other woman i think thats there..im not sure. this is pissing me off

Just to toss this in there as I didn't catch a response stating anything about it. The beard has 2 bones in it, this is how they puff it out.

the beard is purely mushy. i feel the 2 bones in there, they seem fine. its like its full of damn liquid or something...

They should be able to do a needle biopsy and see what exactly is in there. Let us know how it goes.

He's coming back monday..so that means my beardie will have to keep it up till then..urgh i feel like im torturing her...

she'll eat worms though. but should i feed her that?

the doc gave some meds for her stomach,saying it was a little swollen from too many worms perhaps. (nothing changed after the meds, so im pretty sure he was wrong..)

what do you guys think?

As long as she's not overweight, is digesting and passing them, at least let her have a few every other day, or every day if she's not eating anything else.

she has not eaten literally anything in about 2 and a half weeks.

weight is fine, and last time she ate 4 worms and pooed perfectly fine.

and if yes to the worms, which ones would be the best? i dont want to give her super worms any longer. hard shells = bad.
