I recently changed my beardie's tank to a 40 gallon one since he has grown to about 9 inches.
I put in a new wood branch so that he can lie on the branch to bask. But at night, he still sleeps on his branch. Is that normal? I mean is it some kind of instinct that he thinks that the branch is higher above the ground so that it is safer to stay on it for the night?
Also, I use lizard carpet as the floor. When I feed my beadie crickets, they all try to hide underneath the carpet so my beadie cannot find them. I used my beadie's old tank to keep his crickets. How do you guys normally feed your beadie and avoid this hiding crickets problem?
Thanks.
