BB & GG

Hello I am Nick,

I must say I have learned so much from all of you who participate in this forum. And of course my beardies are thankful for it.

Below are my babies.
The first picture is BB (Beautiful Betty). She is a hypo sandfire female - Born in June 2010 and is 11 inches and 98 grams -

The second picture is GG (Gorgeous George). He is a red italian leatherback born about 2 weeks after BB. He is 9 inches and 42 grams. Unfortunately he does not eat nearly as much as the female and is a little skidish. He usually stays stressed always resting on top of my background about 1 inch from the cage top. His stress marks disappear when I take him out of the tank and especially when I give them both a bath. Which makes it strange that he won't eat outside of the tank.

I am trying to do everything possible to get them back to similar sizes. She eats no matter what and he is very picky, not eating outside of the tank hence refuses to eat crickets ever since I started them on Reptiworms. I bought 20,000 grubs which I keep in a Biopod Plus.

I bought my dragons from Dragon Fortress at a reptile show in Northern Virginia in August. I have many questions and will post in the appropriate forum boards. Again thanks for this site.

Hello there! Adorable lizards; I particularly enjoy the very Gaga-esque way George is wearing the cricket as a hat :p I'm a noob at dragon care, so I wish I knew what to recommend to your picky eater. Welcome!

Hi and welcome!!! They are both beautiful dragons! I love their names too. I agree with the poster about seperating them, unfortunately the one that isn't eating as much is probably due to being the submissive beardie...I'm sure that he would catch up quickly if given his own viv. Keep those pics coming, we love watching babies grow up!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I especially loved Sirenique's Lady Gaga comment.

I am definitely going to take Livey's advise and build a 72 inch enclosure that can be divided into 2 parts, one for each beardie. I just wish I knew this before purchasing them but the breeder I bought them from seemed to know his stuff and trustworthy. I was told that they would be fine together in my 36x18x24 inch tank. Dragon Fortress does have beautiful dragons and I am very happy with the 2 I purchased. I just hate the idea of separating them since they seem to get along, at least when the male comes down from the top of the cage. LOL.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
