Dear fellow BD.orgers,
I have come the realization that I am an addict :| . I cannot quit patrolling the websites for dragons in need of adoption :study: . The latest is a Dragon named Drako. He is 1 year old and 21 inches long. Only $200 for 100 gal tank, dragon, lights, etc...I just can't help but talk to DH about it and try to convince him once again. Problem is I already have 1 dragon Brodie  . I also have 2 pits, 1 cat, 8 chickens, and a 30 gallon tank full of Angelfish...Not to mention a 2 year old! I may even be willing to part with my hens for this dragon. Which is saying ALOT! So All I can do is face the facts...I am an addict  ... :blob8: AND I NEED MORE DRAGONS :blob8: !!!!!
Sincerely, Heather

Oh i so feel you! I just adopted 2 more dragons from someone who has to give them away because she is moving. So i am getting 1 male and 1 female. They are not a breeding pair thankfully. They come complete with EVERYTHING. Lights, tanks, accesories, sand and possbily a shelf to house both of them on. I know for a few days Bruce will have his tail in a knot but he'll get over it. We have made the room for our new babies. We have decided to dedicate our small bedroom of our house to be the Animals only room. So ALL of our pets will be in this room (once i move hubby's tools and crap)LOL Which means 3 hairless rats and 3 dragons will be in the same room! So that means I will be spending most of my days locked away in the room with my babies!! LOL Our kids are going to flip out! LOL So now my grand total is 3 hairless rats, 3 dragons, 3 sons, a HUGE tank filled with fish and a husband! LOL Do i have enough??? NAH!! Maybe i'd like to have more pets.........

I too am an addict! Last month I got my second beardie. Having two is so amusing! I keep them in separate enclosures out of sight from one another, but every day or two I let them look at each other for a couple minutes and bob heads. Since I've been doing this, I've noticed a HUGE increase in the appetite, activity level, and general contentedness of my first beardie!

While I applaud your wanting more dragons, and as a breeder want to help feed that addiction, I want to give a word of caution. Its very easy to go from having a couple dragons to becoming a rescue. If you continue reading adds on craig list ( or something simular) you will be bringing in alot of sick to un well animals. Not everyone takes the time to do it right, especially if its an impulse buy. Now im not saying you cant get healthy animals on these sites, the average person wants to keep a pet healthy what Im saying is some people just dont know what healthy is. I dont read pet classifieds anymore, it cost me to much effort and vet bills because I just couldnt walk away.

I hear you loud and clear. Don't worry about me I've got a SUPER realistic hubby to keep me in check. I did end up gettin Drako and he is HUGE! 20 inches 715 grams and 2 years old. I understand the financial aspect and time it takes to care for them properly and I know 2 is all I can handle. I have established that two is my maximum capasity. Thanks for your concern.

HAHA Right before we walked into the pet store on Valentine's Day, I said to my hubby."Honey I have a problem, I cannot go in there, I think I'm an addict" He asked what I was talking about and I explained that if I go in there I'm going to go look at the bds and I know if I see one I'm going to want another one lol. Well he made the mistake of saying that he was fine with it haha. So Spirit came home with us that day lol. I am addicted to my bds, i love them so much. i love their personalities, their temperaments, I love caring for them and giving them love. We own 2 snakes, 3 bds, 5 cats (my children's), a beta (my sons) and my daughter's anole. We also have 7 children lol. I'm just glad I found a cheap vet haha.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
