Bathing question

Our beardie has had what we believe to be "fecal residue" down the length of the under part of his tail for a while. Normal bathing/soaking doesn't seem to get it off and even rubbing my thumb over it doesn't do it. Would a soft bristle toothbrush or something similar work to get it off? It's kind of between his scales I think.

Thanks all.

Yes, a nice soft bristle toothbrush while soaking in the tub is a good idea. You might try bathing daily for a while. Sometimes the scales can get stained as well, so don't freak out if you can't get it all off. People have found this out after their beardies have been stained from colored sand. It will all be gone in the next shed regardless.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
