Bathing/Drinking Question

A little background:
We currently have two male bearded dragons (approx. 3-4 years old and brothers) that we adopted from a local store after they were given up by their previous owner. They hadn't been given proper lighting, space, or nutrition. They were also housed together by their previous owners and the pet store, which was also causing quite a few problems.

When we brought them home (which was just over a month ago), we moved them directly into seperate tanks (55 gallons each) with basking lamps and a UVB light source as well as a more complete diet of not only crickets and superworms but also greens.

We recently changed their substrate from repti-carpet to sand because the carpets seemed to trap unwanted odors.

At night, we provide them with undertank heaters to keep the temp. in the tank from dropping below 65 degrees F without the light. The hot side (where they bask) is around 100 degrees F, and the cool side stays around room temp (so probably around 75 degrees F or a little higher).

We've tried putting a water source in their tanks as well, but all they ever want to do is run into it constantly and spill it everywhere. It also makes the humidity go up a little higher than I would like, so we decided to take the water bowls out but still mist daily and bathe at least every other day.

Okay, now for the actual question part:
Our beardies love to take their baths, so we let them soak in warm water from anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes. They spend the first few minutes just lapping away and the rest of the time floating around and walking back and forth around the tub. When they get out, the larger of the two has what looks like his entire beard area full of water. If you try and feed him or he gets too excited (like if he happens to catch a glimpse of his brother/former tank buddy), he'll let some dribble back our of his mouth or,in rare cases, out of his nose. He also makes a hissing sound directly after being removed from his bath, which kind of reminds me of the velociraptors on Jurassic Park, lol. Other than that, he seems a little hyper but otherwise normal. Any idea what this could be???

If your bathing them thats all the water they will need since they are drinking from the bath. You dont need a dish in the viv. None of my 5 have ever made noises. I have 2 males and 3 females. You should never use a under the tank heaters for bearded dragons they cant sence the heat that way they can only tell from above using their 3rd eye. So id remove those asap. They can get burned. If you need heat at night you will need a ceramic heat emitter(CHE) 100f might be a tad low .You can use a reg household bulb next to the other basking bulb to up it. I havnt had any of mine hold water in their pouch. Sounds like they get excited before they finish drinking. Males arent they fun lol

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
