Bath Massage Question

When I bath my dragon I massage him a bit to help him poo, but Im wondering why everyone says to massage the right side from armpit to vent. Why not the left side? Whenever I massage the right side all the food goes into the left so the left side is more bloated. Am I doing this right?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
