Basking Spot or Daylight

I have a 100w Neodymium Dalight Lamp made by Sun Glo, as well as a Reti BAsking Spot Lamp by Zoo Med that make the temps slightly different. Directly under the light for the spot lamp it is 107', whereas the daylamp is about 104 right on the top of the log using the probe, with the cooler side at 81.

The difference I see is that with the basking spot is is this temp directly in the spot that the bulb shines, however, around it is not as warm, it is about 90-95', where the daylight lamp causes the temperatures on the entire log to be about the 104'. Which is best, a basking spot to be warm right in that area, but just around that not as warm, or a basking spot to be warm in and around where the light shines.

So confused over lighting, and then in the winter we have to do it all over again!

I just moved the dome, and it is 101 directly under the light now since I moved it to a lower spot on the log, and then around it, it is 100', then 94' and it gets down to 81 in the cooler section. Knowing this, what do you think about the basking spot. Do you think the basking spot or the daylight having this difference.

They're both fine. Your beardie will figure out the hot spots that it likes regardless of how big they are.
