Basking question

So this may be a silly question, but my ball python recently outgrew her hide rock. My juvenile beardie had an enormous half log hide in his enclosure so I've temporarily given that to my ball.

My question is, can I clean the rock and give it to the beardie for basking? I've heard beardies can burn themselves on hot surfaces so I'm not sure if giving him the rock hide for basking would be unsafe. I'm still kinda new at this. Thanks!

Yeah you can sanitize it with some steam or F10SC and use it for your dragon. I suggest monitoring the surface temps with an IR temp gun or place the probe for a digital thermometer on the surface. That way you can keep it within about 100-110 by adjusting your lighting as needed and keep it at a safe and healthy basking temperature.

This is about a rock rather than a half log hide. The half logs can be rinsed and sanitized by baking them in the oven on low for 45 min or so as needed.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
