Basking light dome

Hi, I'm struggling to create to create a hot/cool scenario in my beardies viv, them warm end is at the right temp being controlled by a microclimate thermostat but the cool end is only reading 5°c lower then the hot side.. would a dome around my basking light help?

A dome will help to direct the light in a more concentrated beam which may help the temperature gradient. What are the dimensions of your tank?

Ok thanks, it's 4ft by 2ft.

OK that's a pretty good width. I'd try the dome fixture and see if it helps. Adding vents to increase airflow may help if that doesn't.
