Basking bulbs ugggggg

I know I'm not the only one who has become tired of these Zoo Med basking bulbs. I am so tired of wasting money, there has to be a better way!

I have a couple of questions ? Thanks in advance!
1. It seems most people use regular bulbs, but what about the UVA?
2. What about mercury bulbs?

Hello,

You can simply use a nice bright PAR 38 Halogen light for the basking light, in combination
with your UVB light. That will emit plenty of heat & UVA along with your UVB light.
Which UVB type & brand are you using?
There are a few really good Mercury vapor bulbs. We usually only recommend them if you
are using a 40 gallon tank, or larger.
