barely eating

Hey guys, my beardie Hercules is a little over 3 months old and I've had him for a little over a month. He had been eating fine for me for a while, I was feeding him phoenix worms as a staple with crickets mixed in every now and then and offering him fresh collard greens every day. But about a week or so ago he just started refusing to eat phoenix worms and will only eat crickets now. To go along with this we has only been eating like 4-8 crickets a day (I dust them with Calcium or vitamins). He recently shed everything but his head (his head has been looking like it is about to shed for a couple weeks now). I give him daily baths and all my lighting (have a reptisun 10.0 tube bulb in his tank) and temps are good, he's on repticarpet substrate.

The small amount he has been eating for the last week or so has really started to worry me. I got some waxworms to try to add some weight to him, however he ate the first one I offered him and hasn't eaten one since.

He isn't lethargic, he moves around his tank and is active when I hold him, climbing from hand to hand, on my chest, and exploring etc. He poops about once a day although recently it has been mostly urate with a little bit of poo.

I'm getting really worried and just don't know what to do at this point.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I also wanted to add one more thing, right after his body shed he ate a ton of phoenix worms, 25 in one feeding, about 35 or so over the whole day. That is the most he has ever eatin while I've had him, however, after that is when he stopped eating as much. Is this something he might of done to store some fat since he knew he wouldn't eat much while he was waiting for his head to shed? Just something I thought about and wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I know this is the 3rd time I'm posting on my own topic but it has been a day and a half since I posted this and it's something that has me worried.

I can't really help but it's frustrating when you don't get a response. Private message someone on here that has a lot of posts, they may know more. Have you tried giving him a bath? I know if they have an impaction a warm bath with a belly rub can help. Mine goes on eating binges and then doesn't eat for a day or two. Sometimes i have to hand feed him to get him to eat anything. Good luck! I know that they can worry us.

Do you have any pictures of your dragon & your tank?
Are you using a digital probe or temp gun to measure your temperatures? He needs a basking spot of around 95-110 with a cooler end of aroundn 78-82.
Shedding can sometimes affect their appetites though.
The basking bulb that you use, is it a bright white light or a colored light?
Sometimes they can completely change their preferences in foods & stop eating one type of food. You can keep trying to put some worms in the greens to see if that will entice him into eating his greens.
Has his beard been black at all lately?
