Bad sheds??

Hey!

My beardie has been having a wave of "funny" sheds and I was wondering what you guy think of this

He shed his tail and underneath the scales looked gray and off colour for him. Does this seem concerning?

I've seen people talk about bad sheds here and I was wondering what that could mean? Do they sometimes just loose a little luster like this at random?

obviously I'm very worried it could be Y.F, but there's no crust or anything like that so it doesn't seem likely

Hello,

He definitely doesn't have yellow fungus. It looks a bit odd, but it is most likely just getting
ready to shed soon. Tail sheds can sometimes be very strange. They tend to be thicker, take
longer & have weird colorations, too.
How old is he?
You can put some aloe vera gel or coconut oil on it, to help if needed.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. He just went through a shed on that exact patch and it peeled off this morning! this gray patch was underneath a fresh shed

It's definitely a little weird, he's 2 years old and acting very happy and energetic

I'm happy you don't think its Y.F!

You are welcome!
Strange, that does happen sometimes. Hopefully it will normalize in color, soon. Shedding
can do some weird things. You can always put some aloe vera gel on it a few times per week
to see if that helps. I hope the rest of his shedding went well for him.
