BAD BAD MOM HERE

ok so like a week ago my hubby and I went out to get a new UVB bulb for Colasis we were so happy we came home and put it in right away. then for some reason yesterday I was looking at his tank when I put him back and looked at all the fixtures and bulbs and noticed our new bulb said Repti GLo 10.0 I felt so bad I turned it off imediatly and logged on here cause I knew somthing was posted on here about them . and of course i was right so i called my hubby at work who in turn told me to call petsmart back. i talked to a manager and told them i wanted to retun it seeing as how there are problems with there and she told me they cant do a return without a reciept sorry. so i went to petco and got the correct one in now thank you. I just feel so bad that for the past week we have been using that light on him, next time I will make sure to get the correct one.
so this is just a shout out to all of you who are here to help us who are new to Beardies

Don't worry you are not a bad mom! at least you knew right away that it wasn't the correct bulb and cared enough to change it If it makes you feel any better I had the wrong UVB light and basking light for a month (the breeder suggested them I had no idea they weren't good). He was a little under the weather last week but he's doing great now. The wrong lighting I think caused one of his eyes to get irritated. I don't know if one week compared to a month could do that to your beardie but maybe check his eye out see if he is okay. Hope he's healthy and i agree with everyone on here being so nice and helpful. Without this site I dont think my little guy would be here. Everyone on here is great.

I just felt bad it was one of those ok you go in and look remember you need one 18 inches long they have your size and you see the repti and think ok good pay for it and go home insert new tube good no bad. his eyes look ok and i agree a week should be ok. if anything he is more active today than he has been in a while but that could just be because today I turned 32 years old. .

petco is a rip off i bet you paid like 40 bucks for a new bulb. when you can get them for 20

nope I paid 44.99 on sale yeah I am not thinking to much these days . ok so in 6 months where do i go to get them for 20.00

also if you go on google and search for discount code for petmountain you will find some code that you can type in when you fill your payment stuff and it'll save u money, not much but something. I did that and saved money. Good luck!
